MERS members train each and every month. This training is the safe and proper manner to raise an overturned horse trailer using a 9:1 raising system on one side, and a braking system on the opposite side. MERS always works off the Incident Command System , utilizing an Operations Officer, as well as an assigned Safety Officer. There is no substitute or short cut for the safety of the horse, or  the rescuers.
